Harnessing the Power of GPS Satellites

The HeavyTrack System is a satellite-based tracking device using Global Positioning System (GPS) and embedded cellular technology. It uses the signals produced by satellites to determine precise latitude and longitude coordinates, along with direction and speed of travel. This information is transmitted wirelessly to the HeavyTrack Response and Data Centers where the equipment movement is viewed and processed in real-time.

Theft Detection

Security parameters may be customized for each piece of heavy construction equipment. For example, a security alarm can be generated whenever your equipment is moved outside normal working hours. If your equipment is regularly used during nights or weekends, the HeavyTrack System can establish a geographic area of any size where your equipment should remain. If your equipment leaves this safety zone, a silent alarm will be sent to the HeavyTrack Response Center.

Alarm Notification

Upon receipt of an alarm, the HeavyTrack Response Center will contact the owner of the equipment and relay to him the machine’s disposition. By observing the equipment in real-time mode on a computer screen, the Response Center technician can assist the owner in determining if a theft is in progress.

Equipment Recovery

When instructed to do so by the owner, the HeavyTrack Response Center will contact the applicable law enforcement officials and request apprehension and equipment recovery. Every local law enforcement agency in the U.S. and Canada is a partner with HeavyTrack in stopping the theft or recovering the equipment.
